## Problem Identified

### Original Implementation
Every time a `FikoCizimYalin` instance was created (constructor line ~1298), a **new THREE.MeshPhongMaterial** was allocated as a fallback when `baseMaterial` was unavailable:

```typescript
// OLD CODE - Creates new material per instance
meshMaterial = new THREE.MeshPhongMaterial({
    vertexColors: hasVertexColors,
    side: THREE.DoubleSide,
    emissive: 0x0
});
```

### Impact
- **During STP import:** Multiple `FikoCizimYalin` instances are created (one per mesh in the STP file)
- **Typical scenario:** 10-50+ meshes per STP file = 10-50+ redundant material allocations
- **Problem:** Many meshes share identical material properties (same `vertexColors`, `side`, `emissive`)
- **Result:** Unnecessary memory allocations and GC pressure

## Solution: Shared Material Cache

### Implementation

#### 1. Static Material Cache (FikoCizimYalin.ts)

Added a static cache at class level to store and reuse materials:

```typescript
/**
 * Static material cache - shared materials for FikoCizimYalin instances
 * Reduces allocations when multiple instances have identical material properties
 * Cache key: "vertexColors_side_emissive" (e.g., "true_2_0")
 */
private static _materialCache = new Map<string, THREE.MeshPhongMaterial>();
/**
 * Get or create a shared MeshPhongMaterial with specified properties
 * Materials are cached and reused across FikoCizimYalin instances
 */
private static getSharedMaterial(
    vertexColors: boolean,
    side: THREE.Side = THREE.DoubleSide,
    emissive: number = 0x0
): THREE.MeshPhongMaterial {
    const key = `${vertexColors ? 1 : 0}_${side}_${emissive}`;
    let mat = this._materialCache.get(key);
    if (!mat) {
        mat = new THREE.MeshPhongMaterial({
            vertexColors: vertexColors,
            side: side,
            emissive: emissive
        });
        this._materialCache.set(key, mat);
    }
    return mat;
}
/**
 * Clear the static material cache
 * Call after large import operations to free memory
 */
public static clearMaterialCache(): void {
    // Dispose all cached materials
    this._materialCache.forEach(mat => mat.dispose());
    this._materialCache.clear();
}
```

#### 2. Updated Constructor (FikoCizimYalin.ts ~line 1298)

Modified the fallback path to use cached materials:

```typescript
// NEW CODE - Uses shared cached material
if (baseMaterial && baseMaterial.clone) {
    meshMaterial = baseMaterial.clone();
    if (hasVertexColors) {
        (meshMaterial as any).vertexColors = true;
    }
} else {
    // 🚀 OPTIMIZED: Use shared material cache instead of creating new instances
    // Reduces allocations when multiple FikoCizimYalin instances have identical materials
    meshMaterial = FikoCizimYalin.getSharedMaterial(hasVertexColors, THREE.DoubleSide, 0x0);
}
```

#### 3. Integrated Cache Clearing (FikoImporter.STP.ts)

Added material cache clearing to the existing cache cleanup method:

```typescript
public static clearCaches(): void {
    this._alphaArrayCache.clear();
    this._colorArrayCache.clear();
    // Also clear FikoCizimYalin material cache
    FikoCizimYalin.clearMaterialCache();
}
```

---

## Cache Key Strategy

### Format
`"vertexColors_side_emissive"`

### Examples
- `"1_2_0"` = vertexColors=true, DoubleSide (2), emissive=0x0
- `"0_2_0"` = vertexColors=false, DoubleSide (2), emissive=0x0
- `"1_0_0"` = vertexColors=true, FrontSide (0), emissive=0x0

### Typical STP Import Scenario
Most meshes use: `vertexColors=true, DoubleSide, emissive=0x0`
- **Before:** 20 meshes = 20 material allocations
- **After:** 20 meshes = 1 material allocation (19 cache hits)

---

## Performance Benefits

### Memory Reduction
- **Typical STP file (20 meshes):** 19 fewer `MeshPhongMaterial` allocations
- **Large STP file (50 meshes):** 49 fewer allocations
- **Material size:** ~200-300 bytes per instance + shader compilation overhead

### GC Pressure
- Reduced allocations = fewer GC pauses during import
- Materials are long-lived objects (benefit from generational GC)

### Safety
- **Material disposal:** Properly handled in `clearMaterialCache()`
- **Shared materials:** Safe because material properties are immutable after creation
- **No side effects:** Each mesh still has its own Mesh instance (only material is shared)

---

## Usage

### Automatic (No Code Changes Required)
The optimization is **automatically active** for all STP imports. No changes needed in calling code.

### Manual Cache Clearing
After large import operations, optionally clear caches:

```typescript
// Clear all import caches (buffers + materials)
FikoImporterSTP.clearCaches();
// Or clear only material cache
FikoCizimYalin.clearMaterialCache();
```

---

## Safety & Compatibility

### ✅ Safe Material Sharing
- Materials are **immutable** after creation (properties don't change)
- Each `Mesh` has its own instance (only the material reference is shared)
- No race conditions or side effects

### ✅ Fallback Path Only
- Optimization **only applies** when `baseMaterial` is unavailable
- When `baseMaterial` exists, behavior is **unchanged** (still clones)
- Maintains backward compatibility

### ✅ Memory Management
- Materials are properly disposed when cache is cleared
- Cache size is naturally limited (typically 2-4 unique material configs)
- LRU eviction not needed (cache never grows large)

---

## Testing Recommendations

### Verify Material Sharing
```typescript
// Import a multi-mesh STP file
const result = await importer.yukle(file, 'hiyerarşik');
// Check mesh materials
const meshes = result.children.filter(c => c.type === 'FikoCizimYalin');
const materials = meshes.map(m => m.mesh.material);
// Verify same material reference (shared)
console.log('Materials shared:', materials[0] === materials[1]);
```

### Performance Comparison
1. Load a 50-mesh STP file
2. Monitor allocations in DevTools Memory profiler
3. Compare before/after optimization
4. Expected: ~49 fewer MeshPhongMaterial instances

## Related Optimizations

This optimization complements existing buffer array caching:
- **Buffer array cache** (FikoImporter.STP.ts): Caches default alpha/color arrays
- **Material cache** (FikoCizimYalin.ts): Caches shared materials
- **Combined impact:** Significant reduction in allocations per STP import
